Cannot trim this object

Dear AutoCAD forum,

I want to trim the yellow part but it showed "cannot trim this object" while I've been change the coordinates to "right" 

As a beginner of autoCAD, I am not familiar with it so could anyone provide solutions to me?

Hello,

I would expect a message telling so but it seems it doesn't say anything. But my opinion is just that you don't work on the right UCS.

Send a UCS then (directly) RIGHT (it should work as well as in the 2nd tab of the Ucsmanager).

It could work better.

If I am not in the right diagnostic, maybe you should publish your dwg.

1. same tutorial, same issue timestamp -> CLICK!

Perhaps it is a PROJMODE problem or what I think, an graphic problem.

Share you .dwg and we can check yout geomtric data

2. Your pictures showing you are in Quickmode, so you don't need select the line element,

    try to select the Circle at the lowest quadrant
