Cannot revolve object (Attachment include)

Hello all:

I am make a tire, I have created layer 0 and layer 1, I hide the layer 0 and try to revolve an object along a line. First, I click the object and enter, then I chose two point alng the line, but the revolve is not working, I don't know why? I am not sure if I miss someting or is this to do with layer? Please help me and thank you!!!!!

Thank you for helping me, I tried to revolve the yellow object, and choose the yellow object at first, then I specifie two points on the red line so the yellow object can revolve around the red line, but it still not working? I re-upload the file.

What I did is that 1)type "revolve" in the commad 2)select yellow object and then enter 3) Specify two points on thered line and then enter. I don't know what is wrong with my steps? Can you please try to revolve the yellow object instead of building a new one because I am going to combine the object in layer 1 with that of in layer 0 (I turned the layer 0 off)? Thank you so much!!!

In order to get this to work I changed from Control Vertices to Fit. See attached
