Cannot get table line style to render thickness properly in drawing.

I'm trying to make a magenta colored 8mm border around my table (a 1/32" border is ideal...but the tables only seem to work with metric). I had to play around with the selected borders in order to make it work, but the attached screenshot illustrates the desired result and the actual outcome. My borders still seem unchanged. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

A color on screen has no "thickness" in AutoCAD by default: do you just need to ensure "magenta" is set the way you want in your BSS2019.CTB file (not included by you so far) to what you need, then set your layout's PAGESETUP to DISPLAY PLOT STYLE by chance (it is not in your sample file)?

How do you typically designate line weights to AutoCAD colors when you Plot?

I've added my CTB file and an updated DWG file and a closed polyline showing the thickness.

In a ZIP file because the forum won't let me upload the CTB file directly.

In a CTB file. See below.

Just for reference, here's what I'm doing exactly.

Thanks for the files, much appreciated.

So the highlighted one is a PLINE with a width assigned

Is that the width you are trying to emulate? That's going to be tough since you are comparing apples to oranges there. Either everything needs to be one or the other so they are perfectly matched.

Or would you refer to use LWEIGHT settings (by object or bylayer)? You seem to have that going on too.

TIA

Hmm, I see. So that probably means making a "tables" layer or something to that extent so I don't overwrite everything else that is magenta?

I'm probably better off just tracing out a polyline with my desired thickness when I'm done making the table. The only real reason for doing this was to avoid manually adjusting text locations (and ideally blocks too, but the tables don't seem to play nice with dynamic blocks) every time I edit the description or add/remove items.

If you go with the option of manually drawing a PLINE with a set width over the existing Table object border, just bear in mind that when the Table size changes, you'll have to manually adjust the PLINE

Yeah, I know. It's not ideal, but much easier than aligning text.

Unfortunately I'm not in the position to be modifying the company's standard CTB file, so there's only so much I can do.

Or just change the graphic standard and accept the way the Table is drawn and move on.
