I am trying to copy something from a selected base point to a new destination point. All of a sudden a few days ago, my software crashed and since then I have not been able to do that. Some setting must have changed and I don't know which one it is. I invoke the copy command but it won't let me select a base point to copy from.
After using autocad for 20 years or so, I stopped using it about 10 or so years ago, and started using Inventor.
I only use autocad now to store, edit, annotate and crop/lighten my photos.
The last company I was with stopped using autocad a few years back and started converting all 2d drawings to 3d inventor. The current company I am with stopped using autocad quite a few years back, started doing everything in 3d solid edge, and are redoing all old autocad 2d drawings in 3d solid edge. It looks like autocad is dying out in favour of 3d parametric solid modelling programmes.
Anyway I digress. Can anyone tell me what autocad setting will get my copy command working properly again,
where I choose a base point to copy from.
