Cannot dock layer property manager to the side of my screen

Not applicable

I just switched from mac to windows autocad 2014 and I'm trying to get the same display (properties and the layer properties manager on the side of the screen one on top of the other) and I can dock the properties just fine but for some reason the layer properties manager does not want to get docked on top of it (or underneath).

I have "allow docking" activated but everytime I try to dock the layer properties to the side of the screen it takes over the whole screen, please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I haven't found the solution anywhere.

I will attach a screenshot of my screen and what it looks like when I dock the layer properties manager

BOTH are not "docked on a side" because of you can not DOCK a palette to the side, just to the top.

What you want is another variant, disable docking, enable Anchor Left (or Anchor Right)

BUT: Anchor feature will autohide your palettes... i guess, it isn't what you want?

EDIT: Oups, my fail 😖

Set docking allowed, Anchor left,

after this: disable the auto-hide option for both palettes

Works

Hi,

To get the palettes one on top either on the left or right side of the screen you need to autohide them🙂

And i wrote the opposite, after docking and set anchor left, DISABLE the auto-hide option for both palettes 🤣

The LAYER pop-up in your screenshot is not dockable, its the "classic" floating only version.
