Can you make a rectangular array in specific arrangement?

I'm trying to make a custom hatch for a checkered steel plate and as you know, their floor pattern is composed of ridges layed out diagonally with each other. I was wondering if there's some command specifically with rectangular array that can make this? Thank you.                                    www.tellculvers.com

In general .. Yes you can .. Would you please show us an image for your hatch to see how could we help you ?

There are several Hatch patterns like that >here<, and no doubt in other places.  I think to do it with Array would require making a little set of four of the "ridges" and Arraying that set, which will have serious limitations in relation to areas with irregular shapes, etc.
