Can't grip hatch

Something happened to my AutoCAD 2018.
I have created an Acoustical Ceiling Grid and I want to add some light fixtures.
I've done this same thing in AutoCAD since Release 9.

Now, when I go to insert a fixture, there are no Grips on the Grid.

I can't select an intersection.

I can't move the fixture perpendicular to the Grid.

I can't select the Middle of the Grid.

I can't select the End of the Grid.

I've gone to the Options/Selections and checked every box.

Still the same.

I hope the answer is simple but I can't find it.

OSNAPHATCH is the variable to let you snap to hatch. The usual 1 or 0, on or off. Is that what you want to do? You can also have a hatch selected and you can uncheck the Associative button on the hatch bar and it will give you all the grips on the boundary. Sometimes mine changes to associative. I'm sure it's matching properties or something from an old drawing, but sometimes takes me a minutes to figure out why my hatch is coming in with no grips all of a sudden.

Thanks for your quick reply. Now I can get back to work placing those light fixtures. Some of our past employees were masters at creating Lisps & more. One from the past that we use all the time lays out the 4 options for a grid layout, even in a many walled room. I would bet that that program turns on-or-off OSNAPHATCH. Too busy right now to investigate, but, thanks to you, I know what to do. Read Ya Later -KLYPH
