Can't customize drop down menus.

I have just updated to AutoCAD 2022 from 2019 and I like to work with a very clean screen, but not in Classic mode and I work strictly from shortcut keys for commands. I really dislike, but tolerate the Ribbon and keep it closed, then call it up when I need a visual. I do keep the drop down menus, but when I set MENUBAR = 1 , only the Express drop down menu shows. I've never had to do anything to get the old standard menus back (that I remember) when going to the latest version of AutoCAD and loading my CUI file, so I don't know where it is controlled. I see instructions that simply show clicking Tools > Toolbars to control menu visibility, but without having the Classic interface, that menu does option not show. Any advise or links to tutorials would be much appreciated.

Well, unless you want to Restore the setting to the Defaults, you need to fix it manually.

Run the CUI command, pick your current workspace on the left, click on Customize Workspace button on the right, open the Menus tree branch on right and do the same on the left. Drag-n-drop then to the right, click Done.

Thanks so much Valentin. That was what I was looking for. So many things in AutoCAD are easy to remember even after a long time without use - there is just so much to forget!
