Can not select whole object ( a square) for offset

I clicked on the offset, click on the object ( a square)  than type the distance. However, I can only offset one side of the square instead of the whole 4 side of the square.

Hi,

Is you "square" defined by one polyline or 4 lines?

If it's one polyline you can offset the complete square contour to outer or inner side.

If it's defined by 4 lines you only can offset line-by-line ... or you use command _PEDIT and option _JOIN to get one polyline of the 4 lines.

Are you really sure that this is ONE polyline?

Select the square and look in PropertiesPalette(ctrl+1) for Objecttype (at the top)
