Can not find vertex between polyline

The first photo is when I selected my polyline

The second is how it's supposed to be like. There should have vertex between polyline.

The last one is the properties window to show that the one I selected is a polyline not a line.

I've tried many ways to solve this problem.
I tried to type Regen
Explode the polyline and then join them again
turn off the program and open again
turn off the computer and start again
open another file
create a new file

none of these methods did work
Could anyone here help me solve this problem please?

Thank you very much.

Hi,

Your pictures show 3 different examples and I'm not sure what you are actually looking for?  You ask about finding the vertex (which your 3rd image shows clearly in the properties panel).  Are you trying to connect to that point or just retrieve the coordinate data for the vertex?

Please upload one of the drawings you wish to reference and clearly state what you are trying to accomplish.

Cheers.

Hi,

welcome @Anonymous.autodesk.com!

Can you please define the question again? What is meant by "vertex between polyline"?

The screenshot and the list of what you have tried does not make it clear (at least for me) what you are looking for.

While I too am confused, we need to point out the ability of the PEDIT command to show you the vertices.  Issue the PEDIT command and select the polyline.  Then enter E for Edit and you will be able to jog through the vertices and have options to make changes.  If you are jogging forward and your X does not move, that indicates a duplicate vertex.

It looks like you have your grips turned off if I'm understanding what your problem is. Type OPTIONS at the command line and then pick the selection tab. Make sure that the show grips box is checked.

I'm looking for what is shown in photo2 (That photo is from my friend not mine though)
And my problem is in photo1

When I selected my polyline, it was like in photo1.

No vertex to select.

However, before I got into this problem, when I select a polyline, it's like in photo1 and I can edit each vertex.

And for photo3 I provided it just in case it might give more information about this problem.

Thank you.

Oh my, What I've been looking for is this square symbol on the vertex!
My problem is I can't grip the vertex to edit polyline such as move, stretch, or add more vertex.

Anyway, Thank you very much for all of your answers 🙂

"can't grip the vertex to edit polyline such as move, stretch, or add more vertex" - actually is the box at the midpoint of a polyline is not shown, the box which when you hop your mouse on it, you can change the line the arc or add a vertex.

Do you have the solution of this issue ? I currently have the same issue.

can you give me the solution if you have?

Did you make sure grips are turned on as explained in message 5?

Hi

your drawing is behind the sun, (too) far away from earth.

Test: Move your pline to: *0,0

and check it again.

Does it works now?

Setting the GRIPS (System Variable) to 2 Displays additional midpoint grips on polyline segments.

It's Saved in the Windows Registry so it shouldn't change on it's own.

do the coordinates affect the vertex? even if my drawing is "behind the sun"?
