can I set a color to not plot?

Does anyone know if it is possible to force an entity to not plot based on it's color?

I do have non-plotting layers in my drawings and occasionally I forget to move the objects that I do not wish to plot into one of these layers.

In all cases the entities that I do not wish to plot are always the same color in my drawings.

I have tried setting the pen weight for this color to 0.00mm but this didn't work.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi,

I suggest to change your color from .CTB to be plotted as 255,255,255 color .

Hi,

Seems critical, because a hatch with color 255.255.255 and display order front will hide all objects behind 😉

Or you need to set the "merge control" to "Lines merge", that would work but that mixes then all overlaying objects.

Well, if you don't for get to set the color, just forget to move the object to a layer, why not create a small script which selects all objects with that color and push these onto a no-plot layer?

As I don't work with CTB ... have you tried to set the option "screening" in the CTB to 0 for that color?

Hi @Anonymous,

The suggestions here are good ones. I especially like the one that does a selection for all objects with that specific color and move them to a non-plot layer.

Thanks Imad and Alfred for your continued great suggestions!
