CAD LT symbols are dots when I PDF CAD files.

Hi Everyone,

I am new to CAD LT so I am sure this issue is a simple fix.

I am making adjustments on a CAD that was engineered by an electrical engineer and when I go to PDF it, the Power Symbols are turned into dots. However when you look at the CAD files the symbols are correct. Any suggestions on how to fix this issue??

Thanks!

See attached CAD File and attached PDF of that file.

The lettering I just copied and edited each item as needed . And the symbols that are not showing are ones that I created from scratch.

Hi,

parts of you geometry is set to layer "DefPoints", this layer is

  • reserved to be used by AutoCAD internally only!
  • objects on that layer will not be plotted.

Hi,

Is there a way to be able to have my work be plotted? How do I get around that ?

Hi,

Yes, don't use layer "DefPoints" for your objects.

For that dwg-file ... select these objects and assign a layer that you created, and that is not set to "no-Plot".
