CAD locks up for 5 min. after opening/closing toolspace

Just this last week, I've notice that when I go to close or open the tool space my CAD will freeze for a good 5 min. It has never crashed yet, and always comes back to life, but very annoying.

Is there a setting that changed randomly, or has anyone else had this problem?

I have the same issue with the block editor.   does your system lock up IMMEDIATELY after closing or opening the tool?

in my case after editing a block, i will get a 2-3 second delay from then on with my mouse movement everytime I move it.  the remedy is to open the block editor again.  and then just close it.  when you open the tool, dont touch it, just close it again and reopen it.   may not be the same issue though.   worth a try!!

Does not sound like the same issue.

Immediate after I close the toolspace CAD freezes for a solid 5 minutes. I cannot move the cursor or anything within CAD, no response at all.

My current work around is to always have toolspace open and just minimize the window...but it has never done this before so would be nice to solve the issue.
