Burst command duplicating block

hello all, 

Just like the title states when I use the burst command on a block it bursts one and then leaves a "copy" or duplicate of the block behind overlapping. 

any tips or inside would be great.

and you are sure it is a blockreference of the same block(name)?

Tried it in another DWG with a new created Block (command: Block / insert)?

@mpodolan Show us your DWG file with this problem please: that's not a problem known in BURST but most likely your block have a duplicate behind it or in it (nested blocks).

Here are some snips

1. input a block. 

2. burst and moved the over lap over(one is just the individual lines ie bursted and one is still just the block) 

do you think I have blocks overlapped?  can it be referencing more then one block?

Why does it say DUPLICATE OF YOUR BLOCK IS INGORED? It's telling you there are two right there for you to see.

DWG file please. Also share with us the screenshot of your ABOUT command pop-up too.

It would be so easy to answer our questions,  if you share this DWG 😉

Do this:

Select your fresh inserted blockreference, start command BEDIT

and check out the Block content.. Just 2 lines and a circle, or also some blockreference (of another block) inside?

nothing I know of is duplicated into the block when I went to edit it.
bellow. with a block in it bursted and not bursted.

On my side it works as expected, Burst: 2 Lines and one Circle, nothing else.

Sorry, I can not help you, because I can't reproduce the problem.

You bursted inside this DWG, or did you copy the whole content from another file?

Pls try it again ion this file from you.

thank you for trying on your end. I have tried this on multiple computers on mine and all do the same. But Civil 3D does it how my old burst worked. ie not making a copy.  

I placed two blocks one i used burst in the file.

Nope, nothing like that here in your sample DWG file. You have something unique to you going on in your actual DWG file (or an add-in or 3rd party program issue).

you hit the nail on the head. its a 3rd party problem. it was a plugin for CAD LT. That used the same name "burst". so it would run normal Full CADS burst then run this 3rd party LT Burst.

And why you installed this for LT designed external application and use it in Autocad?

How are you supposed to come up with something crazy as a helper, LOL.

the plugin is designed to work with both full cad and lt. obviously there are some bugs to iron out still. it worked great all this time. this problem came out of the blue. but you did assist me with trying it on your cads!
