Bug with ctb line type definition for ISO Point

Hi folks

I usually plot ponits line by use the ctb definition. ctb definition.png

In older autocad version works fine. But in 2017 version a error apears now. I've tryed with to different instalations, different PCs, and different prints (acrbat, opne PDF, OKI...) and allways do the same

The weight is OK; but not the shape. However, with other styles like Point (normal), it does well.

Does anyone else have this problem? Any solution

Thanks in advance

alberto

Hi @Anonymous,

I see that you are visiting as a new member to the AutoCAD forum. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

I have tried this with your settings but mine behaves properly.  Can you attach your sample drawing so I can test it? Please also include your CTB file. Perhaps I missed a step or something but I am happy to help.

Thanks John

I attached a e-transmit (dwg + pc3 + ctb), some prints (PDF + DWFx) and also my acadiso.lin, just in case.

  • My Autocad version is 2017 N52.0.0;
  • My ctb come from the olddies, true; but I've remaked it and the bug persists;
  • My acadiso file is the original (v2017 installation). I've never modified it, I sure.

I printed with ACAD PDF, Acrobat PDF, PDF24 Creator, DWG to PNG and OKI C810 on paper. The bug always persists both in the preview and on the final prints. Except if I print with the DWFx ePlot (XPS).pc3 then it's fine.

Thank you for taking the time to check it.
Peace

Hi @Anonymous,

Thanks for coming back to this thread. Now that I have seen your files, I tried this in a brand new file as well and I can duplicate this behavior on my side.  I tried this in AutoCAD 2017 and AutoCAD 2016.

You mentioned that this worked in older versions. Can you give me a specific version that you know it did? I would like to get this issue logged with the team and do a bit more research on it as well.

As a workaround, I suggest that you place all the green objects on their own layer and set the layer's linetype to the ISO Dot as that seems to plot fine and show the dots when the CTB is is set to Objects linetype.

Hi John

Thank you very very much

I am completely sure that it worked correctly in:

  • Acad R14
  • Acad 2002
  • Acad 2004
  • Acad 2005

And I do not remember well if it worked in:

  • Acad 2010
  • Acad 2012

Maybe I can try the error in 2010 and 2012 versions. I have to dust off my old PCs.

I'll tell you something soon. Sure.

I've talking with some friends of mine and in v2014 it works fine.
