Brand new CAD PC runs slower than the old PC

I've been using AutoCAD and Plant 3D to create 2D and 3D drawings. I have been using a pretty low-end PC that started to have a hick up when modeling in 3D so I decided to upgrade my PC.

Old PC Spec:

CPU: i5-7400

Memory:16gb 2400mHz RAM

GPU: GTX 1050ti

New PC Spec:

CPU:i7-9700k

Memory: 32gb 3000mHz

GPU: RTX4000

Ever since I upgraded to the new PC, I cant pan or even move when I try to open up some 3D assembly drawings I used to work with the older PC. Everything is much slower and AutoCAD/Plant 3D crashes very frequently. Does anybody know how this is possible?

Yes, the PC was put together by a professional and I also made sure the driver is all up to date as well.

GPU hits 100% usage when I try to move or pan, and it crashes AutoCAD

Double check the drivers for that GPU, and try turning the hardware acceleration on and off in AutoCAD

It may well be the driver, and the latest may not be the best for AutoCAD.  From here...

Download and install the driver recommended for your software

  1. Go to the Certified Graphics Hardware tool
  2. Select your Autodesk product.
  3. Select the version of your product and your operating system.
  4. Find your graphics card in the certified list.
  5. Find the recommended driver for your graphics card. If your card isn't listed, go directly to the manufacturer's website and download the latest driver for your card. Here is the major graphics manufacturer's download sites:
