Blue and red colors swapped in layer manager

ACad 1017 windows 10. Blue and red colors are swapped for the layers. Layer says the correct color but shows the opposite. Switch the color in the layer manager and then it shows correct color. Any ideas why?

This is real. My friend is experiencing the same bug on her laptop, but it works fine on mine. we have installed AutoCAD from the same installer package. I think it is an AMD Raedon chipset problem. My laptop is running on intel HD graphics but there is no such issue ever.

This has come up at least twice rather recently, one of them being here, in which a post from me contains a link to the other one.

I have seen this before as well.

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-forum/graphics-problem-autocad2015/m-p/6208901#M115562

I believe the solution is similar to the information @Kent1Cooper's link suggests.

if you updated a driver, roll it back and turn off hardware acceleration.

I red it but it´s crappy answer 😉
turning off harware acceleration is solution? it can advise only person who
never worked wit acad before
I was just trying to help someone solution is obvious:
1, use older driver for dedicated radeon graphics (before 04/2017)
2, use integratet graphic card till amd fix their drivers
HW acceleration stays turned on of course

Apologies, but I don't understand the issue. It seems to be doing exactly what's suppose to do. Please show a screenshot of the object properties.

The image attached to Post 4 shows the issue.  The selected object is blue like the one above it [if you can make that out through the highlighting "glow" -- one reason I prefer classic dotted-line highlighting], but its color is supposedly  ByLayer, which is shown as red [upper left corner].  You'll see similar images in those other threads on the same topic.

I agree completely.  I think Autodesk needs to figure out how to solve this, because there are also several other  types of unexpected-graphic-results problems people have had for which the so-called "solution" is to turn off hardware acceleration [a Search for "hardware acceleration" will reveal them].  It shouldn't be necessary to disable a feature that supposedly has benefits in order to get free of drawbacks.

If you have a lower end video card, turning off hardware acceleration is not a workaround or a crappy answer. It is a configuration setting that is necessary.

what is lower end video card??
as I wrote before now I´m using INTEGRATED chip HD Graphics 5500 on
i5-5200U 🙂 and HW acceleration is turned on with no problem (benchmark 576
points there is no lower end 😄 )
acad is useless without HW acc turned on....

For some, it is useless with it turned on.

Please see post #10 and look up the definition of hardware acceleration. Also, please see all the graphical issues posted here that were solved by turning it off. It's a real thing.

I'm sorry. I didn't realize you were new here. It's pretty much a canned response to any graphic issues.

If you don't believe me, just research graphic issues in AutoCAD. I'm sure you will find tons of information.

Someone is a bit sensitive, huh? Good luck finding an example for the vast majority of any posts.

If you look at just about any thread about anything resembling a graphic issue, one of the first responses is usually to turn off hardware acceleration to see if that helps. I would have to reference way too many for you to believe me. Do your own research, I've already done mine.

What is smtg?

BTW, spell check is a good thing.
