Blocks in Xref Printing Solid

I'm working on 3 different DWG's in this area. 2 of them print out to PDF just fine, but in this DWG, these particular blocks (see attached photos) keep printing solid black. I've made changes to the xref layer, the layer for the block inside the xref, ect. Interestingly, if I copy and paste the same block into the host DWG, it prints out fine. Something about the block in that particular xref, in this particular host drawing is causing issues and I can't figure it out.  Oh and all 3 DWGs use the same print setting and pent tables, so I don't believe that is the cause. Also an Etransmit is attached if needed. Thanks for looking!

Too many missing items while loading your drawing on my end so I don't want to rely on openning here.

I tried to analyze the XREF drawing to see if lineweights are causing an issue for that particluar block.  It is a nice dynamic block that has several visibility states and the lineweight appears to be set to BYLAYER.  The layer appears to have a lineweight as DEFAULT.

You may wish to analyze this yourself to see if that layer is duplicated in your target drawing and how lineweights are handled in every step.  Other blocks in the drawing are looking good so I really think it's lineweight somewhere along the way.

I would start by plotting a pdf with no lineweights turned completely off and using a plain acad plot style.  If that does not produce the filled look then you can be sure it's lineweights.

FWIW, I have always taught my students to create blocks on the zero layer with almost all properties as BYLAYER.  It saves so many headaches.

It may be your plot style... I was unable to reproduce this on my end using several different plot styles.

Just an update, the best I could determine is that the wipeout in the block was causing the issue. I deleted it, ran an audit, and remade the wipeout. It doesn't print solid black anymore, but now the draw order pushes the wipeout on top repeatedly, which is apparently common in AC 2018
