BLOCKREPLACE command not working as shown on tutorial videos

Hi Guys

I've viewing various youtube videos and tutorials on how to use the BLOCKREPLACE command I have stumbled across a strange problem and when I go to use the command. When I enter BLOCKREPLACE into the command line and press enter I am not getting the same results as any of the tutorials say i should regardless of the versions.

Below are examples of what I want to happen and what actually happens.

Shown below is the result of the BLOCKREPLACE command given in all tutorials. This command prompt allows you to manually select objects which is what i want to do.

Shown below is what happens when I type in BLOCKREPLACE into my AutoCAD (versions 2020, 2021 and 2022). The only option i get is to manually type in the block that I want to replace and then manually type in the block i want to replace it with. However even if I type in a block name that is in the drawing it will always say that 0 of that block name can be found in the model/paperspace.

Im not sure if im doing something wrong, if it the software is corrupted. What makes this stranger is that I have 2020,2021 and 2022 all installed on this machine and the the same problems appears on all versions.

Hopefully someone out there has had this issue and resolved it

Greetings @Anonymous
CMDDIA variable needs to be on (while you are at it, FILEDIA needs to be on too): unless you opted to turn it off too, SYSVARMONITOR command should be alerting you these changed from the default settings listed in HELP

Hi @Daniel_Kelly1

 FILEDIA=1

You may also use the icon on the Ribbon.
Go to Express Tools Tab=>Blocks Panel
