Can someone please help me.
I have a topography drawing that has a reference line that is incorrect value. The topography lines in the drawing have a z values that I would like to retain after exploding block.
Able to convert the reference line however the z values are altered after exploding block.
Any ideas how this can be done?

We don't know which is the "wrong" reference line (perhaps the red one?) and how it should be after correction.
I'd suggest:
- Create a block from all geometry (option "convert to block")
- change the X and Y scale factor to your need (property window). Retain Z=1.
- Explode the block
BTW: While opening your file I had to recover the file => one object was deleted. But I think that doesn't effect the scaling

My first attempt to scale your file properly you can find >>here<<.
(because the filesize increases the here allowed 70 MB I could not attach it directly to this post. )
Let me know if that is what you wanted to achieve.

Hi Jurgen,
Thanks for trying to help me sort this out.
You are correct about the red line. It is my reference line 1446.1135 when it should be 1223.412
(Properties panel is open) Annotation is on.
If I block not using the Behavior = annotative unchecked.
After making block the new reference line is 56933.6033.
So, I used this value to scale X, Y = .0215, Z=1 in the Geometry
Checked reference line again (1224.07) which is fine.
Explode X,Y, correct Z = incorrect. ( One elevation line should be 5.5m and it is 216.5354)
I must be doing something wrong. Can't work it out. Sorry to bother you.
Really appreciate your help.

Here what I did.
(some parts of the video - when AutoCAD delayed - are snipped)
The result dwg is attached.

Hi Jürgen
Thank you for showing me how you were able to achieve your drawing.
I will have to watch it a few times to absorb all of the sequences.
You did a wonderful job on being able to comprehend my situation.
That's why you are the genius.
Huge thank you again.
Craig
