Block/Atrributes

Hi All,

I am currently working in a file that has 7 different page layouts, each one having a title block.  All 7 pages use the same block so when the attributes are edited it changes the values on all pages.  My question is if I want to change the values on say just "page 5" how do i make that title block independent, or edit the values independently with out exploding the title block.

Thanks

should be to edit the the attribute by clicking on it ...

@cameron_s Use command EATTEDIT (enhanced attribute editor) and set accordingly. This way you don't need to explode to edit a block.

Command BATTMAN will be usefull to manage your enhanced attributes.

Im sorry for my bad description...What i am trying to edit is not an attribute it is part of the title block.  I have to use the comand DWGPROPS to edit the field as it is not listed under the attributes that i can change independently.

thanks

just erase everything in modelspace, all we need to see is paperspace layouts

Ok so here's the test file.

If i edit attributes it gives me a few options of what fields i can edit.  But if i want to change the text under "revision" or the text under "date" i have to use the command "DWGPROPS" to edit those fields.  Now when editing these revision fields it changes all the text throughout all paper space layouts.  Is there anyway to edit the revision/date text on just one layout page "SD7"

those "fields" are just TEXT

redefine your block and change the TEXT to ATTRIBUTES

Is there any chance you could go into a little more detail about that process.

Appreciate your time

Thanks

Open source file that you used as your insert. Replace the TEXT entities you wish to be able to edit with ATTRIBUTES. save and reinsert into your other drawing.

Do a manual deletion of the value, but if you do it will detach it from changes with the others.
