batch plotting to PDF - page setup not found

It has been awhile since I have used AutoCAD to batch plot to a PDF, I have had this issue before but can't not remember how I got past it before.

When I get to the screen where I select multi drawings to include in the batch plot...(2) of them have the red line across them and a message about setup not found? or something like that.

I think it has to do with plotters that were available on site where the drawings where drawn but I don't have those same plotters here?

Thank you,

Steve

Hi @spaulus,

YOu can import page setups and apply them to those layouts right inside of the Publish command.  In the Publish to: field, select Plotter named in Page setup. Then select all the sheets by using CTRL-A. then under the Pagesetup you can import a valid pagesetup from one of the other drawings or from a template.

@john.vellek Thank you, I was able to create PDFs now but when I try and do it again a couple of drawings still have the red slash thru them and say "page setup not found" can I save the page setup to those drawings?

HI @spaulus,

When you import and apply a page setup during the PUBLISH command, it is like applying a temporary override.   If there are only a couple of drawings that are missing a valid page setup it is likely fastest to just open them, apply a valid page setup and be done.

If you had more than 2-3 drawings, then you could consider using DWGCONVERT (and then Modify the Conversion Setup)  to force page setups.
