Batch plot - when using publish where do I define what plot style is used

I am trying to publish a list of drawings, I have created page setups S01 to S05, all set to a certain plot style. When I preview the page setup everything looks as per my assigned plot style (black, not coloured).

I then go into publish and assign my sheet list, assign my sheets and my S01 to S05 page setups and I assign the "Publish to:" box to "plotter named in page setup.

I then hit publish. After publish, I inspect the drawings and some of the elements are coloured where as they were previously black when previewed in page setup.

In addition I have been toggling the publish collate command from 0 to 1. When it is set to 0 it will publish as a multi-sheet file (this is what I want) but the elements are coloured (contrary to page setup assignment). When it is set to 1 it will print all elements as black but it wont print as a multi-sheet file.

Someone please help, this is driving me crazy.

I think this might help, when your plotting multiple files to a single plot style I usually default to using page setup overrides.

When plotting to multiple plot styles, as in your case, you will want to set your page setups current as applicable in each drawing, as shown in the dialog below.

Then in SSM, select plot to PDF, this will default to the current page setup and plot style.
