Recently upgraded to Autodesk AutoCAD2017 and it would not appear possible to batch plot to PDF. Anytime this is tried the following error appears 'The plotter configuration cannot be used for one of these reason: the present cannot be found, the device cannot be found, or the driver has a problem.'
Any suggestions how to resolve this batch plot error?

We ran into this issue when we upgraded to 2017..... the PDF driver (Autodesk) was updated in 2016 I believe and now includes 4 separate PDF files:
What we had to do to resolve this was first COPY and RENAME (one of the above) to the previous file naming convention for the driver (i.e.: DWG to PDF.pc3). Next you need to ensure the four PC3 files shown above are also in the same folder as your existing PDF driver. Try to batch plot again...
There may be other solutions, this is one that resolved the issue for us. For more information, a similar link posted in the past is below with more info.

Hi,
>> The plotter configuration cannot be used
Have you tried command _PLOT with the driver that was listed as missing?
