Automatically show/update the day of the week, of a particular date inside a text box.

Title may be a bit confusing.

Essentially, what I'm looking for is a way to show what day of the week it is for any given date.

I create work schedules and they show the date and day, (e.g., 29/03/23 - Wednesday) but often when I go over them, I find put the wrong day of the week or I forget to update it and it waste a fair bit of time having to triple check dates/days.

is there a way for AutoCAD to show which day of the week a particular date is, so I can just worry about putting the date and AutoCAD will show which day that is.

(e.g., I just write 29/03/23 and it shows Wednesday next to it and if I go and change the date later to 30/03/23 it will automatically update to Thursday)

If the schedule shows current date, you can use a field and format it to show which day of the week.

Otherwise you may need a lisp to update the text content.

For current date,

see 3wood

-

Every date

In AutoCAD TABLE you can format a cell as date &  to display the day

Format cell as date

dd.MM.yy - dddd

-

a Date fix days in the past or in the future (from today)

That should be possible by DIESEL
