Autocad window not maximized when selected after multitasking

This behavior of the window of Autocad is very annoying. When you are working with multiple windows open (Autocad and other programs), you have your Autocad window maximized, then you put focus on another program window and when you put the focus back again on in the Autocad window, then it is restored at some apparently random size somewhere in your screeen, instead of appearing maximized as it was at first.

It sounds like a minor problem, but it's really annoying when you switch windows very frequently.

Note: I've noticed this behavior of Autocad window in different versions. Now I'm using Autocad 2022 in Windows 10. I also noticed this in Autocad 2020.

Is Autodesk going to fix this one day?

Does annyone know if there is a solution for this issue?

@francisco.graells ,

This may be a Windows update issue or "Run Maximized" (MESSAGE 16) from this link:

Thanks Valentin,

I've tried your solution, but it didn't work. Actually, it's not the same problem as described in the post you mention. In that prost, the problem came out when starting Autocad. If only happened at the start I wouldn't complain! The problem I describe here occurs when I change the focus to another application window and then I put the focus back again to the Autocad window.

Any more ideas to solve this?

Search and test on your windows, monitor or graphic card side!

Some monitors or graphic cards install program to manage programwindow handling.

search more in this direction, also if you have trouble with AutoCAD only.

This happens to me sometimes when using C3D. I don't remember if this ever happened in (C3D as) ACAD.

I use Taskbar 0 in acad and 1 in C3D. Dunno if this is what makes a difference.

If the issue persists, it would try to stretch the window to maximum but not minimalize.
