Hi,
I'm wondering if AutoCAD is capable of version control at all?
I would like to use only one file instead of "save as" and end up with hundreds of files...
For example; I'm working on a drawing for 3 months. I would spend an hour a day editing this drawing. Requirements change and I need to roll back the design to a specific point in time, but I only need a few elements, the rest I want to keep.
So far, I have experimented with the 'Compare DWG' feature, which can be invoked from the command panel with -COMPARE /path/to/other. dwg. This shows how the current file differs from the argument to COMPARE.
The program can be invoked from the command line, and its first unnamed argument is the base file to open.
Are there any other version control tools?
Ps: not sure if this post belongs to the Visual LISP board so feel free to move it to where it belongs 🙂
