I just got a new machine at work with a fresh install of AutoCAD 2020. I don't have any say in the hardware (I would need advice there anyways), but here is what was given to me:
Windows 10
Intel Xeon E5-1620 v4 3.5GHz
GeForce GT 710
LG 4K monitor
32 GB RAM
Everything I try to do is slow. Click on an object - 1-2 second delay. Run a simple command - delay. Pan or zoom - delay. I can watch the properties (palette) have to refresh. I even experience delays while using non AutoCAD apps like writing this in Chrome or updating Excel spreadsheets. I'm guessing this may not be an AutoCAD issue, but I notice it the most while using it and I'm not sure where else to start after being unable to figure it out. Our IT guys are hardly ever in the office these days, and they're not exactly Autodesk savvy anyways.
Happens whether it's an old/existing DWG or starting a new one.
Happens regardless of being connected to network.
Clean install with no migration of settings.
Desktop Analytics is disabled.
Hardware acceleration is turned off.
I assume the software up to date since it was just installed last week.
Open to ideas/suggestions. Thank you!
