I was running Autocad 2018 smoothly. Today, after upgrading to 2019, it started showing ARX error whenever I launch the application.

Hi @Anonymous,

I see that you are visiting as a new member to the AutoCAD forum. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

I have seen a small number of cases similar to this issue.  Are you running any kind of localization on your AutoCAD (different language)?

If you click OK I believe you can continue working but I would like to get a NFO file from you so the team can get this resolved.

If your data needs to be private or confidential, please email it directly to me at john.vellek@autodesk.com and please include a link to this thread in your email.

Please select the Accept as Solution button if my post solves your issue or answers your question.

Not solved. Yes, I can access Autocad 2019 drawing window, but after some time it shows an error and closes automatically. I am highly concerned about this issue as I am using this software on a daily basis. Do you suggest me to degrade to 2018?

Hi @Anonymous,

Please send me the NFO so the team can isolate this.  I see the three crash reports you submitted as well so that helps too.

You can certainly run AutoCAD 2018 in the mean time while this is being investigated.

Hi @Anonymous,

Please check the localization of your Windows OS. One Community member reported a solution that worked for him in this thread.

Hi @Anonymous

Open the Region control Panel in Windows, and select "Change system locale" under the section "labeled Language for non-Unicode programs".

Capture.PNG

Uncheck the option "Beta: Use Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support"

Capture2.PNG

This should return AutoCAD to normal operation.

Hi,

when you first started AutoCAD 2019 you where asked to migrate settings?

If you did that you might have applications or settings migrated which might not be compatible with 2019. To verify this you can try to login with a different Windows user account. In case AutoCAD is working fine here I would suggest you go back to your login and reset the AutoCAD profile to default as described >>>here<<<.
