AutoCAD selection preview is dashed lines

I'm running Civil 3d as AutoCAD and i'm having this issue. I have everything check on my graphic performance and i'm still getting broken lines. i dont have this issue on civil 3D or AutoCAD LT . can anyone help me??

What is the selected rectangle image supposed to be explaining to those of us not familiar with the unstated problem?

i made this rectangle using AutoCAD LT. The difference between both of them is the previous rectangle has dash lines and this one is solid

 Try setting SELECTIONEFFECT=1 to see if that corrects the display.

Thank You the kind of solve the issue. When i hover over the object it keeps doing the same thing, the object looks "dashy" but when i select the object it looks solid. how can i fix that ?

Hi,

i suggest to Uncheck High Quality Geometry  then Uncheck  Smooth line display . and see if any changes, if not please disable hardware acceleration . if not fixed i think that you need to update to the latest video driver for your graphics card.
