Autocad problem with dimensions

Hello,
My problem is that when I move dimensions in my drawing, text and line of dimension moves, together with dots which  with dimension is defined. How can I make the dimension dots not move when I want to move text and line? Is there a way to fix them on the spot of my drawing, where I want my dimension to be defined.

And another question when I already made a damage to my drawing (when I moved dimension lines together with its dots, now dots are all over my drawing. And now when I want to put dots on it's place, the "stretch" command works really well - I move dots and dimension line and number stay in place, but when I need to "lengthen" my dimension, and move dots on it's place, it moves line and text too. Is there a way to move dimension lines without moving dots? And I don't need answer "move it one by one", because I need to do it for group of dimensions. 🙂

Thank you
Best regards

Work with object grips or STRETCH command.

As I said, command STRETCH works only in one way (when I need to bring my grips closer to dimension line), but in other way it is moving whole element.
And I know I can move grip by grip, but it would waste me too much time, because I have all continued dimension lines, and their grips are all displaced for same distance.

Thanks for answering anyway 🙂

It is important to remember that when using the stretch command that you define your stretch window from right to left (i.e., select cross) and not left to right (select window).  For example, if you have a series for dimension lines one above the other and you want to stretch one end of all the dimension one way or the other you should define a window with mouse click right-to-left that covers the ends of all the dimension lines and their reference dots then specify then specify how much of a move you want from the keyboard or with screen picks.

If you hold down shift while you are selecting the grips to move (they will turn red), you can move them all at once by the same amount. It's a bit slow as you have to select each grip one by one, but if STRETCH isn't working for you it might be an alternative
