AUTOCAD when working with large files stops working because it will only works with one core of a multi-core processor.  My suggestion word be to create a version of autocad that works with a multi-core processor.

If you are using autocad to work on large files - don't.

@john.westXFS85 Autodesk only looks for feedback here https://www.autodesk.com/company/contact-us/product-feedback , otherwise you are just wasting your time preaching to fellow end users like you and me.

BUT...
"Large files" means what to the rest of us please?
Do you XREF? Or all-eggs-in-one-basket CAD files?
You store files where? Connected to them how?
ABOUT command lists what as your AutoCAD variant and year version?
Your OS?
System details?

Perhaps there are alternate options you can try now since your wish isn't going to happen anytime soon.

TIA

Hi @john.westXFS85 Yes AutoCAD works only with one processor core. This is why, when buying a new PC at work we always look at single-core performance first then at the overall processor score/performance.
On another note, there are ways to "clean" your drawings and make them "lighter", you can check out some of my suggestions at How to Reduce size and Improve Performance of AutoCAD Drawings
