Can anyone help - Urgent with thanks.

Have just purchased the Microsoft Surface pro x and cannot seem to download. Is there a way?

All specs seem ok other than the Processor is ARM based - Unsure about the tech side of it.

Thanks

Hi,

>> All specs seem ok other than the Processor is ARM based

ARM processor is not compatible to the Intel x64 processors, so this processor can't run software written for Windows 64bit ... as shown here from Microsoft >>>click<<< with this statement:

64-bit (x64) apps won’t work. You'll need 64-bit (ARM64) apps, 32-bit (ARM32) apps, or 32-bit (x86) apps

The SurfaceProX is Microsoft's take on a ChromeBook using the Win10 core code. You totally wasted your money as it will not successfully run AutoCAD very well to use.
Read about that chromebook like device here https://www.theverge.com/2020/1/28/21100071/microsoft-surface-pro-x-edge-chromebook-chrome-browser-a...

You either needed to purchase an actual Micrtosoft Surface Pro (no X in the name, costs so much more too) or you need to buy/use the tinker-toy version of AutoCAD from the Microsoft App Store called AutoCADMOBILE. The Webbrowser variant of the mobile app (aka AutoCADWEB) is also an option in you use Chrome Browser, here is the link https://web.autocad.com/

Good luck.

I was able to return it. We thought we would try something new however a terrible and stressful experience.
