AutoCad not using M1200 Graphics card when connect through displaylink

Regarding the second issue, I believe the problem is Auto Cad, we use a GPU tester outside of AutoCAD the M1200 Graphics card is activated if the AutoCAD Application is using the card is not activate when using the M2connect unit.
We have tested this in the past and was able to work with the card active if the screen was closed on the laptop but it looks like an update has stopped this from functioning this way.
Most users are able to work with the slight lag but 1 or 2 are finding it quite difficult. I understand that this Autocad problem as everything else works until the Auto Cad Application is activated. It there a way we can set the application to keep recognising the graphics card on the laptop, is there a registry key that can be amended to support the graphics card.
the Laptop is An Dell Precision 5520 with an M1200 Nvidia Graphics card running 32GB ram on the laptop

AutoCAD only uses what your Windows session/hardware makes available, it will not go around hunting and helping itself to anything. Never. Try the tips offered to other users with similar issues https://www.google.com/search?q=autocad+uses+wrong+graphics+card

To report a problem and have it addressed in the next version or three (or after they test/update drivers at the hardware certification website) post here https://knowledge.autodesk.com/contact-support/using-my-product

Certified hardware Drivers in case you do not have the link is here https://knowledge.autodesk.com/certified-graphics-hardware

Hello @PeldonRose3D

The most common solutions for this are listed below, in this case your Quadro M1200 graphics card is supported with AutoCAD so you can skip step #1.

  1. Check the Operating System needed & the required updates by reviewing the system requirements for the software & Certified Graphics Card Drivers
  2. Make sure you have an updated graphics card driver by checking the manufacturer's website
  3. Assign the proper Graphics Card to run with AutoCAD
