AutoCAD layout scale for printing

Hi everyone,

I have been coming across an annoying thing that I cannot solve.

All I need to do is to scale my model drawing into the layout space (using viewport) in order to print it correctly.

What I have to do is to put it in the layout at 1:100 scale.

When I print it is not 1:100. I don’t know what I am doing wrong. It is difficult to explain.

But if someone could help me asking any questions please do so.

many thanks

Assuming you are working on metric system:

At first, make sure that the green DWGUNITS First Value matches the units that you are drawing in Model Space.

Then, with the SCALELISTEDIT command edit all the Drawing Scales according to the red values.

Finally, with the PAGESETUP and/or PLOT commands, make sure that the Plot Scale matches the blue values.

Furthermore, when starting a new drawing, make sure to choose the correct template: acadiso.dwt for Metric Sytem and acad.dwt for Imperial System.
