AutoCAD - Layers in model space don't appear in the viewport

Anonymous
No aplicable

A couple of layers in model space don't appear in a new viewport. The layers are turned on, thawed, and unlocked. The layers were copied in from another AutoCAD file. I've checked the file the layers were copied from and they are on, thawed and unlocked in that file as well.

Please help!

Hi all!  I did not see the solution posted, but for me, here is the simple fix when this happens:

Select the viewport where layers do not appear.

in the command line type "ANNOALLVISIBLE"

If this is set to "0" change it to "1"

That should fix things.

Good luck!

I posted this in a reply somewhere in the thread, but just in case...
When this happens to me, the quick fix is:

1) Select the Viewport in question in your layout. Do not double-click inside it, just select it.
2) In the command line, type "ANNOALLVISIBLE"
3) IF this is set to "0" change it to "1" (Type 1, hit Enter)

That should fix it! Good luck.

Go to the layer you are having issues with in the layer properties panel. Right click the affected layer, then select "restore layer state" from the dropdown menue.
