AutoCAD installation problems

Hi guys ,I'm a student and I'm recently trying to install various versions of AutoCAD on my Lenovo y-50 with a Windows 8.1 64 bit operating system and I'm facing so many problems during the installation process.

Initially I had some difficulties with the endless installation of Directx Runtime with the three main versions of AutoCAD (2014-2015-2016) when finally I solved this problem with CAD2014 installing Windows Sliverlight (no idea how) but another complication came out: when CAD2014 completes the download of the Autodesk Material Library 2014 the installion process ends saying:"Installation Complete. Some Products failed to install (Autodesk AutoCAD 2014 - Autodesk RaCap - Exchange App Manager - Exange Featured Apps plug-in).

I tried to install and unistall CAD2014 so many times but the error persists, I'm so confused and I've no idea about how proceed. I have the 3 three years student version.

Hoping that someone will help me, thanks in advance.

P.S.: I'm not so good with the computers.

Hi @Anonymous,

Welcome to the community!

Sorry to hear about your installation troubles. Please post a screenshot of anything you are seeing if you could.

From what you have said, the program may be being blocked by your antivirus or firewall, try disabling. Also try to clean uninstall and reinstall using the virtual agent. Let us know if that works, we are happy to help.

Thank you so much for the reply @matthew.d.

Following your tips I discovered that all the problems were caused by McAfee (default annoying Lenovo program, I use Panda Free Antivirus), so unistalling it I could proceed with the installation with no troubles. I can't believe I wasted so much time on that for this little thing, I will never thank you enough!!! *it's raining kudos*

Now I can jump in the phantasmagoric AutoCAD World!!!
