AutoCAD - Hatching problems

Hi. I have had these following issues arise regarding hatch within AutoCAD.

Problem 1: I am unable to edit a hatch after it has already been created.

                   - The 'hatch creation' tab does not open up after a hatch is selected.

Problem 2: Hatch is automatically assigned as 'associative' despite being designated as 'annotative' at the point of creation.

Problem 3: Hatches are unable to be selected separately from their boundary.

                   - I am unable to select a hatch without selecting its boundary even when using 'selection cycling'.

Problem 4: Creating a hatch automatically changes the colour of the boundary to the colour of the hatch.

Any help in fixing these issues would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi,

is that real for your work and you don't know about the settings, or is it part of a course  test?

>>"Problem 1"
Perhaps it is disabled in your cuix, CUI
<see attached screenshot>

>>"Problem 2: Hatch is automatically assigned as 'associative' despite being designated as 'annotative' at the point of creation."

Associative and annotative are two different thing, independend to the other one,

so Problem2 doesn't make sense. Please explain it better.

If you turn off HPASSOC, the hatch shouldn't be associative, but it has nothing to do with annotative.

>>"Problem 3: Hatches are unable to be selected separately from their boundary."

>>"   - I am unable to select a hatch without selecting its boundary even when using 'selection cycling'."

PICKSTYLE

>>"Problem 4: Creating a hatch automatically changes the colour of the boundary to the colour of the hatch."

Pretty sure not, but it sounds you set up the program to create a (new) hatchboundary  (HPBOUNDRETAIN / HPBOUND)

Hi mate.

Changing PICKSTYLE variable from '3' to '1' & '0' fixed all four issues.

Thanks champ.
