AutoCAD Freezes when trying to Modify Layout?

I just downloaded a trial today, while I'm working out the finer points of a license.

When in page setup manager, every time I try to modify a layout, AutoCAD freezes. Earlier I tried doing something else for about two hours earlier, and it didn't time-out.

Each time I have to kill it in Task manager and open it again. 

I've tried restarting the computer as well, to no avail. 

Is this a feature of the Trial, or is something else wrong?

Hi, Thanks for your reply, but it doesn't address the actual issue.

This is not an issue when switching between model space and paperspace. As I stated before: The issue is that in some files, when I open the page setup manager and try to "modify" the page setup, the program just locks up and stays locked up. Has this happened to anyone before? Could it be a symptom of trying to work with files that were created by others in AutoCAD LT, or indicative of some other problem?

there is no universal fix for "some files" or "occasionally" or "two hours ago": when it is "some files" the problem tends to be those actual DWG files and their content, not much else. When in the same file and it worked :two hours ago" but not "now" then there was probably something else at play.

So... can you be more deliberate about explaining what is unique about these "some files"?

Also... what year version are you testing?
TRIALs outside of subscriptions/subscribers access do not have access to the updates, and those fix most issues for most users. If you are a subscriber updates are most often the fix.
