AutoCAD file will not load after running PDF command in Paper Space

In Paper Space, I had ran the PDF command and then entered F for file and selected the PDF file. Now the AutoCAD file will not open. AutoCAD will open but the cursor will spin indefinitely. Task Manager does not say "not responding", so the program is working on something. I keep giving up after about 15 minutes of loading.

RECOVER command found...

This worked. However, I attempted the Recover command twice and AutoCAD froze. Would this have anything to do with the 2018 version that I am using since the PDF command is newer?

No idea, I don't have access to your PDF, just your DWG file.

Is your 2018 fully updated? It needs to be https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Update...
