Autocad file opens in Adobe Illustrator

I have been using Autocad 2020 in a college architecture class for this past month with no issues. Today, when double clicking on the Autocad file to open it Adobe Illustrator opens not Autocad. A dialog box pops up saying there is an error that Illustrator can not open my Autocad file. 

I have not had any issues previously with opening my Autocad files. Why am I now having issues now?

I have found a work-around: Open the Autocad application and from within the application find and "Open" my Autocad file. Again, why am I not able to double click on my Autocad file and have it open within the application.

 DWG files should be associated with the AutoCAD DWG Launcher program. i suggest to check here how to do that . >> Click <<
