autocad field not updating automatically on open

Hello, I have inserted a field (date & time) into a dwg. I can update the field manually by clicking the ‘update field’ button. My problem is, I want the field (date & time) to update automatically when I open the drawing, but it isn’t working for some reason. I have. tried changing the FIELDVAL to 1 and have changed the options in the settings as attached but it still not updating automatically.

Any suggestions appreciated.

I had a look around the internet and found ‘diesel expressions’ which solved what I was trying to do.
