I got this error sometimes when I save a drawing for the first time. I searched for a solution in the forums but didn't find one. Thanks

Hi,

Please let us know

  • which version of AutoCAD (exactly, use command _ABOUT and show us a screenshot)?
  • is that happening with a specific types of files or also new files?
  • are all files saved on a server or a NAS or local?

You might try:

  • to work with a different user account, to see if this depends on the AutoCAD profile
  • disable your antivirus (or that from the drive you are saving to)
  • run AutoCAD as administrator

There is no fix for "sometimes": so what is different or unusual when that happens? Dig deeper and find a common thread please.

This is the info that I have about the version of Autocad.

Autocad is running on a PC with windows 7, all files are running in the local hard drive. I have a master file that I use as a template. I am posting the version of Autocad that I have. The problem arrive, in random sessions, when I change from model view to layout. Thanks for your help.

Perhaps offtopic: You running an old 2016 version, you should update your program!

Or why do you not update since 4 years?

Check the current graphic driver and test older or newer drivers.
