Autocad drawing faded on display connected to laptop

Hi, I'm working on Autocad 2018 on Macbook Pro with Windows 10 and 27 inch display connected.

The drawings appear kind of faded out on this display while it looks ok on laptop.

Hi Alfred

Here it is. All is usual, except the contrast is very low.

Thanks for looking at this!

Helena.

Hi,

is that a XRef in your drawing or are the objects selectable line-by-line?

It might also be possible that there is transparency active (for objects/layers and activated on display).

So can you please create a new drawing, based on an original AutoCAD template and draw some lines, do they also look like faded?

If this only happens on this drawing then please upload this drawing so we can look into it.

If it is not drawing dependent create a new Windows user account, login with that account, start AutoCAD and see if new drawings also shows this issue.

It's not xref, plain objects. Transparency is not active.

it is not drawing dependent.

I created new windows account like you said. And I've opened the same drawing there.

And it looks ok, just as it should be!!!

I'm attaching the screenshot from the new user account.

Great, then please login with your standard Windows User Account, and run the steps to reset the AutoCAD profile as described >>>here<<<.

Hi Alfred

I already tried to reset, it didn't help.

It was ok in the beginning when I just installed autocad, just like in the new account, and then become faded.

Thanks!

Strange, if reset settings to default does not work, but another Windows user account works well, then it might have to do with your Windows profile.

You can try to login with the other account, start AutoCAD, start command _OPTIONS ==> tab "Profiles" and export the current profile to an ARG-file.

Then login back with your default Windows account, start AutoCAD, start command _OPTIONS ==> tab "Profiles" and import the ARG file PLUS make it the current profile. Now restart AutoCAD .. better?

I'm working on the new windows account and it's good enough a solution now.

Importing profile didn't help. I maybe will try to reinstall autocad later.

Thanks so much for your help Alfred!!!
