AutoCAD - Displayed color of ByBlock objects

Hello all,

is there a way to change the displayed color of objects, that have color set to ByBlock.

The thing is, that when I edit blocks, the object with ByBlock color are displayed as black. In these block there are also objects that have to be colored black and therefore I cannot instantly distinguish, which objects are set ByBlock and which are Black (or ByLayer).

It would help me, if the ByBlock color was displayed in different color (in my case for example yellow), not as black.

Is there a way to change the displayed color of ByBlock color?

Thank you in advance!

I think it would depend on what color black you use.

If you use color 7 (black/white) and color 250 (black) changing the background color should display both colors differently. (just not with 'white' background).

Maybe changing the block layers/colors would do the trick.

Hmmm...usually the colour settings can be found under:

Options, 'display'-tab, 'colours'-button,

choose 'blockeditor' in the context field.

The different elements are there to select and assign the colour you want...

But i couldn't find a setting for the 'ByLayer' objects. I guess it is always black/white (dependant of the background colour) by default.
