autocad crashes every time dragging an object, a command to the quick access toolbar or a block onto a new palette.  running a network version of acad 2017 on windows 10.  Same thing happened when 2014 and 2016 autocad was installed.  Some of my peers having same issues, some are not.  Any ideas why this is happening?  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Video card conflict probably: is hardware acceleration on or off? Change that and see if it helps.

I have tried it with hardware acceleration on & off ...... same results.  I will follow up on the video card and compare to others having the same issue.  Thanks

In addition to @pendean suggestions, I thought I would add another possible solution to try...

Initiate the Secondary Installer/Reset Settings to default

Hi @Anonymous,

I am sorry to see you are having issues when dragging blocks onto your Tool Palettes.

I suggest troubleshooting this issue in the following order:

Reset Settings to Default

Create a new user account with full Administrator permissions - log onto your workstation with this account and try AutoCAD to see if the crash happens.

Check for Windows updates/alternatively, if this just started happening, try rolling back the last updates.

Check for current graphics card drivers.

Make sure that there are no conflicting applications or policies running by disabling antivirus, UAC

Startup in Diagnostic mode

Please select the Accept as Solution button if my post solves your issue or answers your question.
