AutoCAD Certified User Prep

Good Afternoon All,

Trying to find an answer but coming up a tad short. It seems like on the Autodesk website there are a lot of resources for various certifications. Including AutoCAD for drafting/design, professional, architectural, etc. However, I am not seeing a SPECIFIC learning pathway for the AutoCAD Certified User certification. Can someone point me in the right direction? Will the learning pathway for the AutoCAD Certified Professional work? Or is that too much for a beginner? Trying to find the best course of action for success.

To provide background, I am an Active Duty U.S. military member seeking certification under the Air Force credentialing program. Only AutoCAD Certified user is eligible for free certification. I have no prior use with AutoCAD but looking forward to exploring it more and probably will use it after retirement. Seeking a Master’s Degree in Construction, Urban Planning, or a related field.

Thank You, Brent.

Check out this link - https://www.autodesk.com/certification/all-certifications/autocad-design-drafting-professional

Or more specifically this PDF: https://damassets.autodesk.net/content/dam/autodesk/www/training-and-certification/docs/acp-autocad-...

If you can perform all these items (and be tested on them) in the PDF you could probably sit for the exam.

Specifically in regards to the learning path, the path is "approximately 1200 hours of real-world AutoCAD software experience" I took the precursor exams with very little experience and was able to pass but they have changed things since then.

I have taken the new version as well. Its not too difficult (but that's with plenty of experience) although its thorough and you will need to have had some experience and understanding on why some of the topics are important as opposed to just a functional knowledge of the program.
