AutoCAD Annotative text wrong size

Hi, I have a drawing in paperspace there are two viewports. One is 1:500scale and the other is 1:100scale. In modelspace I have the annotative leaders text. Some of the text is 1:100scael and other bits are 1:500scale. Usually by giving the text only the scale you want it to show at it will only show in viewports set to that scale. However in this drawing the leaders are not doing that and are instead showing in both viewports. Can anyone help?

Thanks

Hi,

while you're inside VP please check that show annotation as current is ON  and see if any changes. see below image.

sometimes the annotative objects get messed up. i think there are 2 annotation scales defined for the leaders.

switch in modelspace to 1:500 select all leaders that should not be visible and delete the 1:100 annotation via the properties toolbar .

switch to 1:100 and make the same for the 1:500 leaders.

an other possibility is to use OBJECTSCALE, select the leaders and make the same procedure, select the 1:100 and delete the 1:500 annotation and vice versa.

Hi Thank you for your comments, I tried the options, the only thing I could find wrong was a doubling up of one of the scales. None of the changes have fixed the issue, for now, I have resorted to putting the different scale text on different layers, not really a fix but for now, it will do.

Having multiple annotation scales attached to an object has never caused me any issues. In fact, that is the sole purpose of annotative data (so it can display in differently scaled viewports and still have consistent annotation size). As long as the viewport scale does to match one of the objects scales, the object should not show up. Maybe post a sample drawing with the issue.

>>>...leaders are not doing...<<<
leaders or mleaders?

STYLE command, select the text style you use in both viewports: is it set to be Annotative? what is the PAPER TEXT HEIGHT set to?

Same for MLEADERSTYLE and DIMSTYLE.
