I've tried everything in my drafting settings etc to try and find out why the angle isn't showing when i select a line and click onto one of the grip points, my civils 3d shows the angle that the line is in relation to the UCS and to the other part of the line, all my settings seem to be the same as civil 3d but the angle is still not showing up. please see the attached picture, its only showing the lengths. and not the angle between the hinge point of the 2 lines. What am I missing in the settings, I am self taught on both apps so aren't brilliant when it comes to CAD, If someone could advise me on the best settings to have in my drafting etc it would be appreciated

Hi,

You may try MEASUREGEOM command (Quick option) .. Just activate the command then pass your mouse over the objects.

Command: MEASUREGEOM
Enter an option [Distance/Radius/Angle/ARea/Volume/Quick/Mode/eXit] <Distance>: Q

@Paul_ConwayU5P5K Is this a problem in ALL of your files, or just this one?

Your secret AutoCAD year version as listed in ABOUT command is...?

OS is...?

What is your DYNMODE set to? 3 here for me, all works as you describe you want it to do.

Used to show angle as well as distances when selecting one of the vertices when highlighting a line..

As @pendean mentioned. DYNMODE should be set to 3.

Ah I see . So if I’d drawn 2 separate lines joined it would show the angle between the separate lines but a poly line doesn’t do that . Thought it was something and nothing . As I said I’m only self taught and my knowledge is only good enough for site engineering. Appreciate the help . Thanks

you're welcome...actually with LINEs it's not showing the angle between the two but the angle of one of the LINE itself...cheers!!!
