Hello Everyone....

as the title states,

i am rendering a very simple 3D object.

although the Hardware Acceleration os on, AutoCAD 2015 is 3D Rendering by CPU.

my PC has a GTX 760 from Nvidia with the latest driver.

Can anyone find a solution?

Hi,

When you start the command _RENDER then AutoCAD is using MentalRay (currently) and not DirectX-Shaders, so it needs to use the CPU and can't use GPU.
All what happens within viewports defined by visual styles (as long as you don't use "2D-wireframe") is done by GPU.

Just to make sure, not all rendering engines for 3DS Max can use GPU.

Quicksiver Renderer and iRay do (iRay partially), but e.g. "Default Scanline Renderer" does not.
